Without hacking, not so easy. I got a kobo touch (that can be hacked) but don’t want to install server things or else which can be interesting (http://a3nm.net/blog/kobo_glo_hacking.html)
Zim to Html?
Why just not getting zim files and convert them to html? Zim files are available for free (from xml wikipedia extracts) and offline browsers are already existing.
But unluckily, I don’t find any converter nor application for my kobo 😉
Create epub
Since 2012 it is possible to create your own book (in epub/pdf or else) by adding wiki articles in it. This could be interesting to have less than one hundred articles in only one book.
Xml export
It is also possible to have subset of wikipedia by adding articles or categories. Then it will be available in Xml.
Full export
It could be done by mounting the wikipedia on your local pc and then extract HTML content. Time consuming but possible:
- Get the last Xml dump
- Inject it into your mediawiki instance
- Dump it in html
See the whole procedure on http://openzim.org/wiki/Wiki2html#dump_it_all
